My son's "School Portrait Session"

I took my oldest out yesterday evening to get a few "school pictures" taken. He's such a handsome guy. :) However, he sure was giving me a run for my money to get a good smile out of him, but I managed to catch a couple of great pics...

And sometimes....I got this face...LOL

Or this one....

What a stinker! :) Oh well...I'm glad I got some. I sure love this little boy. :)

If you are interested in booking my "School Portrait Package" special for just $25, you have until the end of today to contact me! Check out the details HERE.

School Portrait Session Special!

With my 7 (almost 8) year old's school portraits coming this week, it got me realizing how much I don't miss having his "cookie cutter" pics done at school and how blessed I am that I can just take him out and shoot away and get pics I really love. I thought that one great way to be able to share the "wealth" would be to offer fun "School Portrait Sessions" at a price that you can't really beat, considering how EXPENSIVE purchasing school portraits is these days! For the next two days I will be offering a special package for those that schedule this session. The cost is $25/child (must be Kindergarten or above) and here is what you get:

Quick session at one of two Nampa locations of your choice (probably just 15 minutes per child is all it will take.)
I will then edit and you will get to choose from two different poses.
You will get two sheets of Wallets and a 5x7 or 8x10 (your choice).
Additional sheets may be purchased at the regular print price (Prices listed HERE).

I think that's pretty hard to beat! Remember, you only have two days to book your shoot (can be scheduled for any time in October) and as with all sessions, you must prepay for this package at time of booking to guarantee your date/time. Contact me if you are interested in scheduling and I'll give you some more info! Hurry!

Personalized Storyboards

I LOVE making storyboards. It reminds me of scrapbooking, which I used to be really passionate about, but haven't done in years. I offer storyboards in any size you would like, but generally 8x10, 12x12, or 10x20. Price: $10.00 each when included on disc. Print prices vary depending on size.

Here are a few examples:

Boise Idaho Family Photographer - "J" Family

This adorable family and I went out this last weekend and despite a wedding going on and at least four other photographers being at this location doing sessions, we managed to get in some GREAT pics! This little miss didn't want to give me ANY smiles, but we managed to get a couple of small ones here and there. She is so adorable, though, you probably wouldn't even notice. Lol. Thanks guys for a fun evening!

I ALWAYS have a hard time deciding on color or B&W. This being no exception...what do you think?

Or color...?

Nampa Idaho Family Photographer - "V" Family

I stumbled upon this location that's right by my house! I was so excited about it and luckily this family was up for anything, so that's where we went. I already can't wait to go back, as it just has so many possibilities and so much to offer. I have to say that I was really nervous to shoot this family (they have SIX kids after all!), but the kiddos were so good that all my worry was for nothing. They were a very fun family and look forward to working with them again in the future!

Boudoir Photography Available...

This shoot was actually held before I made the jump to actually debuting Ali Smith Photography for one of my very best friends. We shot these photos as a gift to her husband for their anniversary and, of course, he absolutely LOVED them! These definitely make great gifts for a loved one! I offer a comfortable session where you bare as much or as little as you want and we'll just have fun! Here are just a couple of the less revealing photos from our shoot, but if you are interested in doing a boudoir shoot, you can request more photos by emailing me. :)

This one is of her in his favorite t-shirt. I thought that was an awesome idea. :)

My first commercial gig

I didn't have my Craigslist posting up for but one day and I got a call from a local hotel asking if I would be interested in taking photographs of their property for their online site. I was very hesitant to take the job, as I had NO experience in doing something like that. I didn't even know if my limited equipment would be able to handle what the job entailed. However, with some encouragement from my husband, I accepted. I showed up not at all knowing what to expect, and just did the best I could! It took a couple of tries for a few of the photos (taken on separate trips to the hotel) and borrowing some equipment from a friend, but I was able to do it! Luckily, the hotel owner was very patient and understanding about the fact that I had no experience in this particular field, which made the job that much more enjoyable. I learned so much and would love the opportunity to do more of this kind of work in the future!
